As an PH Registered Nurse within the Hall County Health Department. At the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.

Job Responsibilities
Ph RN 1
Under supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures
Ph RN 2
Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

Duties
- Knows vaccine schedules for children and adults
- Gives correct needed vaccines to children and adults
- Gives vaccines needed for school attendance along with correct certifications
- Conducts audits for school and day cares
- Conducts scoliosis screenings for schools
- Conducts hearing/vision/dental screenings needed for school attendance
- Cross-trains to TB, Child Health, Family Planning and IDC clinics
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Ph RN 1
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required.
Ph RN 2
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR
Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND One year of PHN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
