About the Role

Art Of Recovery And Life Skills LLC in Richmond, VA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. The RN/LPN will provide nursing support and medical care coordination for clients participating in Art of Recovery programs. This position plays an important role in ensuring medication safety, monitoring clients' health needs, coordinating medical services, and supporting continuity of care.

The nurse will work primarily at our Amelia location and must be available to travel between the Amelia and Chesterfield locations as needed. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and monitor health status of clients in a recovery and life skills setting
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Conduct nursing assessments and document patient progress accurately in medical records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate clients and families on health management, medications, and wellness strategies
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed
  • Support clients in behavioral health, substance use recovery, and life skills development

Requirements

  • Active RN or LPN license in the state of Virginia (in good standing)
  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to work compassionately with individuals in recovery and vulnerable populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team and patient interaction
  • CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Reliable, empathetic, and committed to trauma-informed care practices
