About this role
Role: Registered Nurse in a Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population, including those with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
Responsibilities
Utilize advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and virtual whiteboards. Perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies. Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management while collaborating with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapy staff.
Qualifications & Skills
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a valid Ohio RN license, and have BLS certification (obtained within 90 days). ACLS certification (within 6 months) is also required. PRN staff need at least 1 year of RN experience and all certifications upon hire. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and professional certifications recognized by the Magnet designation.
