Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will prefer a smaller more family-oriented office environment and can provide high-quality mental health care to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions. This role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. *Responsibilities* * Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. * Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications. * Perform medical procedures as necessary, including IV insertion and catheter care. * Engage in emergency medicine practices when required, ensuring patient safety and stability. * Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. * Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance psychiatric care practices. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance treatment outcomes. * Provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options. * Assist in triage processes for patients requiring immediate attention. *Qualifications* * Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. * Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or equivalent licensure. * Proficiency in medical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR). * Experience in emergency medicine is preferred but not mandatory. * Ability to perform laboratory tests as needed for patient assessment. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. * Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical research participation.
