Registered Nurse Med Surg - Night Shift

This position is located at Deer Lodge Medical Center in Deer Lodge, Montana. Come join our amazing team! We have a full-time night shift position working three (3) 12-hour shifts from 6PM to 6AM in the Med Surg/ED department. (PSLF ) As an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by Montana State, and the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice. The RN adheres to Deer Lodge Medical Center’s policies, procedures, and guidelines for patient care. The RN is responsible for providing safe, family-centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient’s family, significant others, and members of the health care team. The RN may be required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others, as defined by the Montana State Nursing Board. The RN assists in meeting Deer Lodge Medical Center’s strategic goals by incorporating the initiatives to support the strategic plans into the daily work, i.e., implementing the Planetree Model of Care, Continuous Quality Improvement projects, etc. Full benefit package, competitive pay and retention bonus available. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position Minimum Education and Experience: Required Education/ Experience: · Graduate of accredited school of nursing as Associate Degree Nurse (ADN) Required Credentials: · Current Montana State RN license · Current BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification · ACLS, PALS/ENPC are required within 6 months and TNCC is required within 1 year of hire. · Specialty certification in area of practice may be required for specific departments · Prior experience in a related health care setting, or a specific area of nursing, may be required for specific departments, i.e., surgery, emergency department, clinic Preferred Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Nursing · Nursing experience in rural healthcare or critical access hospitals DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
