About this role

Administers patient care in an area within a hospital or inpatient/observation setting, where acute care patients receive active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post intervention with assessment. Administers bedside patient care under supervision of a preceptor, leader, and/or charge nurse. Assesses patients' needs and develops/revises individualized plans of care. Serves as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician. Documents patient care meeting all required and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • RN
  • Compact RN
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Authorized by the Alabama Board of Nursing (BON) to practice as a graduate nurse and has received a Graduate Nurse letter
  • Authorized to take the NCLEX by the examination vendor
  • Must obtain Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license within three (3) months of placement
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas
  • Night shift
