About this role

Imagine yourself in a dynamic atmosphere where you'll work alongside world-renowned experts, learn new things every day, treat conditions that few medical professionals ever encounter, and have a vast range of career paths to choose from. Now imagine that in addition to all this, you have the chance to change lives every day. That’s what it means to be an Advanced Practice Provider at Mayo Clinic.

The position will work collaboratively with physicians, other associate providers and nursing/support staff. Experience is preferred but a new graduate will be considered. The NP/PA should be comfortable seeing adult patients with a wide variety of acute/episodic medical problems and minor injuries.

The Hospitalist service takes care of the patient from all areas of primary care including medical screenings for behavioral health, ordering and interpreting diagnostic test. The Hospitalist group provides hospital medicine coverage including admissions, inpatient consultations, developing plans for patients' medical care and discharging patients. This is a regional role with expectation that the NP/PA will be available to assist with coverage at other regional locations as needed.

The locations are Bloomer, Osseo, Barron, and Menomonie, WI.

Worth asking

We can’t answer these from the listing we have. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • How does compensation work, including base pay and the productivity or RVU formula?
  • Are there differentials or other recurring incentives?
  • Does the employer cover malpractice and tail coverage, plus CME, licensing, and DEA support?
  • What should I expect for shifts, weekly hours, weekend, holiday, call, and rotation?
