American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring high-risk OB experience and at least one prior travel assignment.

Labor and Delivery unit within a 45-bed maternity department with 2 ORs
High-risk OB, antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery patient population
1:1-2 patient ratios
Utilizes magnesium, insulin, and pitocin drips
Unit averages 150-350 deliveries per month across campuses
Night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
Required to work every third weekend
No on-call requirements
Required to float across multiple campuses to maternity units including postpartum, mother-baby, and L&D
Hospital-provided scrubs
Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
Active IA state RN license or compact/multistate license required
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
AWHONN or Intermediate/Advanced EFM (I-EFM) certification required
Required Labor & Delivery experience
Required current/recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility
Highly preferred current/recent high-risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility
Preferred Post Partum/mother-baby care experience
Required antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery experience
Required Epic EMR experience
Must have completed at least one travel assignment within the past 12 months
Driver's license required for consideration
Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Firm orientation date, requiring attendance
Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
First-time travelers will not be considered
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any UPH market facility if employed within the past 12 months; this restriction does not apply to those who previously worked travel assignments at UPH
