About this role

Wage Range: $48.21- $87.11per hour.

Bonus available for those new to EvergreenHealth: up to $3,000 with 3+ years of current Emergency Department & one other specialty nursing experience; up to $5,000 with 5+ years of current Emergency Department & one other specialty nursing experience. Bonus also Pro- rated by FTE.

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the Nursing Resources Float Pool Team. At least 2 years or more of Progressive Care or Intensive Care Nursing experience are required.

Summary

Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Primary

Duties

  • Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  • Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  • Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  • Continuously implements, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  • Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  • Effectively communicates all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in a timely way.
  • Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or

Experience

REQUIRED for the position

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Minimum of two years of current Progressive Care or Intensive Care experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification by start date.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS certification by start date.

DESIRED for the position

  • Master’s degree in nursing
