About this role

This position is responsible for providing nursing services to individuals, families and the community.

Examples of Duties

Maintains inventory of health care supplies, including laboratory supplies and medications. Provides nursing services to all age groups. Provides health screenings and clinical assessments.

Provides health education services to the community; assists in programs and promotions. Performs assessments for communicable diseases. Provides health counseling and education on the prevention of communicable diseases.

Implements physician's orders. Develops client care plans; provides comprehensive case management by coordinating with health care and social service providers. Provides health education to clients, family members and the community.

Participates in conferences and educational meetings. Maintains client records, program activity records, and required reports. Completes and submits necessary medical and statistical reports and data.

Participates in emergency preparedness and response activities; reports for special assignments during public health emergencies and disaster situations. Performs related duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, or an associate's degree in nursing and two years of related experience. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Dakota for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Possession of license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Dakota.
