About this role

A healthcare facility in Fort Myers is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Stepdown Registered Nurse to join its intermediate care team.

This role is well-suited for a nurse who thrives in a specialized cardiac environment and is committed to supporting patients through complex post-operative recovery.

Position Overview

The Cardiothoracic Stepdown RN provides focused care for patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery in a stepdown or intermediate care setting. This position involves close monitoring of hemodynamic status, early detection of complications, and ongoing support throughout the recovery process. Flexibility is important, as shifts may occasionally extend when surgical cases run late, and floating within the health system may be required, with a designated clinic serving as the primary base location.

  • Can you walk me through base pay range and differentials?
  • What should I expect for shifts, weekly hours, weekend, holiday, call, and rotation?
