Registered Nurse – Day Shift

Position Summary The Day RN provides direct nursing care to respite participants during day shift hours, supporting medical stabilization, chronic disease management, and admission processing for a population with complex co-occurring medical, behavioral health, and substance use needs. Key Responsibilities ● Conduct admission assessments for incoming participants ● Administer medication and monitor for effectiveness and side effects ● Provide wound care and chronic disease management support ● Maintain clinical documentation to program and SAMHSA standards ● Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team on daily care plans Qualifications ● Active, unrestricted Vermont RN licensure ● Experience with wound care and chronic disease management ● Experience with SUD, co-occurring disorders, or homeless/underserved populations preferred ● Current CPR/BLS certification Physical Demands ● Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/transferring patients ● Exposure to bodily fluids requiring standard precautions ● Fast-paced clinical environment with periods of high demand Work Environment A 6-bed residential medical respite facility in Burlington, VT, working day shift as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team.
