About this role

The Ambulatory Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age and type of patient population served in the assigned departments. She/he ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. She/he demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats patients, families, staff, and physicians with respect and consideration.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse
  • Successful completion of required hospital, nursing and unit orientation, including medication certification
  • ACLS Certification for PACU or eligible for completion within six (6) months from date of position
  • Certification in specialty is preferred
  • Minimum of eighteen (18) months of clinical experience to apply for advancement
