Overview
This position involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit. The RN will collaborate with healthcare team members to manage a diverse patient population, including those with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EKG interpretation and manage central lines
- Administer rescue Bi-Pap, high flow oxygen, trach/vent care
- Assist with bedside procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies
- Utilize critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively
- Work with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, interns, providers, PT, and OT
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure in Ohio
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications upon hire
- Preferred: BSN and professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation
