Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with facility policies and standards. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following strict protocols and safety guidelines.
Oversee documentation of medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage complex clinical situations including acute pain management, infectious disease care, dementia care, hospice services, and emergency response procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and treatment adjustments for patients with diverse needs such as geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
Provide mentorship and training to nursing staff on best practices in medical documentation, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), sterile techniques, and new clinical procedures.
Skills
Proven experience in long term skilled care setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care Expertise in administering injections, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations including those requiring Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or behavioral health support.
Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments for patients across age groups including neonatal ventilator management or toddler care when necessary. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Join us to lead with energy and compassion!
