NURSE MANAGER – BEHAVIORAL HEALTH/CRISIS STABILIZATION Location: Griffin, GA Full Time: Day/Mid-Day Shift – 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, 4 days per week with one weekend per month Job Type: Full-time Pay: $38.50/hour Why Join ATC Healthcare? Our client is seeking a Nurse Manager who can lead with empathy, clinical excellence, and a commitment to quality care. In this role, you’ll support nursing and clinical teams within a crisis stabilization environment while helping ensure individuals experiencing mental health, addictive disease, and developmental disability challenges receive the high-quality services and support they need to move toward recovery. Job Description The Nurse Manager manages the clinical programs, nursing staff—including Health Aides, LPNs, and RNs—and service delivery of the crisis stabilization unit. Responsibilities Creates schedules to ensure coverage that complies with State and other accrediting body guidelines and approves timesheets. Covers nursing shifts on the unit when needed. Coordinates with medical and clinical providers, administrative staff, other agency programs, and community stakeholders to coordinate care and operations. Performs assurance activities to ensure services are adequate, appropriate, and accessible in the community. Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures. Provides ongoing education through staff meetings, classes, one-on-one training, emails, and other appropriate resources to ensure staff in CSU, CSC, and Temp Obs are adequately trained and competent. Provides supervision to nursing staff and ensures CSU, CSC, and Temp Obs operate efficiently. Assists the Director in ensuring all applicable State and Federal guidelines are followed. Monitors infection control, medication administration, and documentation for thoroughness and accuracy. Assists the Director in reviewing and updating policies. Position Requirements Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. Minimum of one year paid Registered Nurse (RN) work experience within the past year providing direct patient care in a similar setting. BSN preferred. Experience in mental health, particularly in inpatient settings. Experience documenting in an electronic health record. Ability to lift and carry up to 25/50 lbs. Physical demands may include sitting, standing and/or walking, pushing/pulling, handling, reaching, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders or stairs, and overhead reaching.
