*Primary Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities*

• Direct resident care, assessment and documentation
• Administer resident medication
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies
• Maintain resident's medication records and individual supplies
• Notify resident's physician of needs or changes in resident's physical health status as necessary
• Maintain up-to-date records and charting
• Communicate with other staff members to ensure they are aware of residents' health status and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the current status of residents
• Write referrals or transfers, as needed
• Charge Nurse duties as needed upon completion of Charge Nurse training

*Minimum

Qualifications

*

• Current Nursing license in good standing (within state of MN)
• BLS Certification
• Proficiency with computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, EHR)
• Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary team framework
• Effective communication skills

• Experience working with resident populations
• Mental health nursing experience
• Knowledge of mental illness and needs of the population
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and side effects

Andrew Residence is a residential mental health treatment and nursing facility. Our multi-disciplinary teams serve adults experiencing mental illness and co-occurring disorders. We offer evidence based, collaborative and trauma-informed treatment services that align with an individual’s personal goals and needs. In addition to our mental health programming, we provide a broad range of physical health care services by our 24 hour nursing team. Andrew is for those who do not need psychiatric hospitalization and are working to achieve success living independently.
