- Administer IV infusions, injections, and medications with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs.
- Manage complex infusion therapies medication administration for diverse patient populations.
- Monitor patients closely during infusions, managing acute pain, airway issues, or adverse reactions promptly and effectively.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on their treatment plans, post-infusion care instructions, and answer questions to promote understanding and comfort.
*Experience*
- Proven experience in infusion nursing within hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or long-term care settings.
- Critical care experience in ICU or emergency room environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical infusion therapy's
- Strong background working with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing techniques essential for maintaining a safe environment.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including, geriatrics (memory care), and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
