Position
Henderson Health Care Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time, highly self-motivated Clinic RN/LPN or Medical Assistant to join the team at Henderson Family Care. Must be able to work Fridays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares the patient for each visit according to the reason for the visit.
- Enters patient data, including medications and allergies into EMR.
- Schedules appointments for physician visits and other outpatient and specialty services.
- Gives injections, performs dressing changes and attends to all nursing duties as requested by the physician.
- Insures patient records are properly maintained and kept up-to-date with all known medical information.
- Enters physician/PA orders in computer.
- Completes all INR testing as scheduled.
- Performs laboratory testing as ordered by the physician.
- Works ahead to complete necessary paperwork for future appointments.
- Maintains laboratory records in accordance with standard laboratory practice.
- Maintains and conforms to all clinical policies and procedures.
- Performs all duties as assigned within the scope of licensure.
- Maintains current professional license in accordance with state law.
- Provides leadership in medical concerns in the absence of the physician.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient matters such as treatment, diagnosis or history outside of the clinical setting.
- Assists in training and orienting new nursing staff to their duties.
- Completes Swank as assigned.
- Communicates effectively with staff and other professional personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
- Abides by employee immunization/vaccination policies.

Education and/or Experience
Current Nebraska licensed R. N. / L. P. N. or Certified Medical Assistant. Prior experience in a physician office setting is desired.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
Current Nebraska License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant. CPR preferred.
