- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with cardiac conditions, monitoring vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Perform triage to prioritize patient care effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques and sonography to assist in diagnosing cardiac issues.
- Provide acute pain management for patients experiencing discomfort or distress.
- Assist with catheterization procedures as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients and families about heart health, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including ICD-9 coding for billing and documentation purposes.
*Qualifications*
- Current nursing license (RN) in good standing.
- Previous experience in cardiac nursing or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and acute care practices.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and sonography is a plus.
- Strong skills in triage, patient assessment, and critical thinking.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
