Overview
This is a field-based position providing patient services in the home setting. It is available in multiple locations, including the City of Chicago and the South, North, and West Suburbs. Flexible placement is offered within a 25-mile radius of your home, allowing you to choose your preferred work location for delivering patient care.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients in need. Duties
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Previous experience in medical imaging, acute care, or pediatrics is preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
