Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise day-to-day activities for residents during the assigned shift, in accordance with applicable laws and facility protocols.
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and manage IV therapy where certified; document all pertinent information per policy.
- Implement rehabilitative and restorative nursing interventions as part of residents’ plans of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Promote resident safety, comfort, and dignity; respond to emergencies, assessments, and call bells in a timely manner; uphold infection control standards.
Requirements
- Active Colorado LPN license
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or comparable setting; training in rehabilitative/restorative nursing
- Current BLS certification; IV certification preferred
- Ability to pass Colorado adult protective services (CAPS) check
- LPN
education
Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a memory-care focused LTC setting
- Reliable transportation required due to rural location (Gunnison area has limited public transit)
