We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and highly skilled Clinical Nurse who has a wealth of expertise in medical-surgical nursing, but who is also capable of providing and developing patient care in primary care and internal medicine.
Our clinical staff are an integral and vital part of our patient care team and serve as the physician representative to patients and their families. The successful candidate is a detail oriented, highly motivated and organized self-starter that has a strong desire to continuously improve and to drive results while being passionate about providing the highest level of care and service excellence to our patients.
The ideal candidate will also have experience working with outpatient clinics as well as private practice. The Clinical Nurse's primary responsibility is to contribute to the success of the practice by ensuring that patients are the number one priority from the time they enter the practice until the time they leave. You will contribute to the practice’s success by creating and maintaining positive relationships with our patients as well as by knowing and understanding the business aspects necessary to provide patients with the best experience possible. Current RN License Required.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
- Provides patient education and documents patient's response in medical records.
- Answer patient phone calls and emails, document phone notes and triage patient needs in a timely, professional, and friendly manner with appropriate documentation in the EMR.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation, Athena Health is a plus.
- Inspects equipment and facilities visually and physically to ensure patient safety and proper functioning of equipment.
- Maintains adequate stock of supplies as required for the work area.
- Attends and participates in meetings related to clinical activities.
- Room patients and record vital signs at visit. Document patient history, reconcile medications and update allergies in patient chart and maintain medical records
- Administer medications and vaccines plus document in EMR
- Perform in-house procedures and testing, such as EKG, spirometry, UA, flu, strep, etc.
- Draw blood work and process labs
- Coordinate care for patients outside CC:MD including prior authorizations, referrals, and scheduling patient appointments for specialists, imaging, physical therapy, home health, hospice, DME, etc.
- Phone and fax prescriptions and refills in a timely manner
- Maintain clean and well-supplied exam rooms and equipment
- Protect patient’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Provide coverage for other clinical team members as needed by placing patient’s needs above all others
- Identify the need for improvement in office processes and recommend solutions
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
