Responsibilities

  • Provide direct perioperative cardiovascular nursing care in the CVOR during Cardiovascular and endovascular procedures
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; interpret vitals and respond to anesthesia and surgical team needs
  • Prepare and assist with instrument sets, maintain sterile technique, and ensure proper patient positioning
  • Assist with intraoperative equipment management, instrumentation, and specimen handling; document care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub nurses, and circulators to ensure patient safety and quality of care
  • Participate in call, holidays, and weekend coverage as required by the assignment; document and communicate perioperative findings accurately

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Prior travel CV experience in a large Level 1 trauma facility
  • Strong cardiovascular/endovascular perioperative experience
  • CVOR experience with evidence of ability to support complex cardiovascular procedures
  • Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in on-call, holidays, and weekend coverage
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and high standards of perioperative care
