Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative cardiovascular nursing care in the CVOR during Cardiovascular and endovascular procedures
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; interpret vitals and respond to anesthesia and surgical team needs
- Prepare and assist with instrument sets, maintain sterile technique, and ensure proper patient positioning
- Assist with intraoperative equipment management, instrumentation, and specimen handling; document care and outcomes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub nurses, and circulators to ensure patient safety and quality of care
- Participate in call, holidays, and weekend coverage as required by the assignment; document and communicate perioperative findings accurately
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior travel CV experience in a large Level 1 trauma facility
- Strong cardiovascular/endovascular perioperative experience
- CVOR experience with evidence of ability to support complex cardiovascular procedures
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in on-call, holidays, and weekend coverage
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and high standards of perioperative care
