What You Will Do

Maintain a pristine sterile field by following strict aseptic techniques in accordance with AORN and ASPAN standards. Use your deep knowledge of pathophysiology and surgical procedures to anticipate case-specific needs before they arise. Closely evaluate patient responses to treatments and clinical interventions, ensuring safety at every stage of the perioperative process. Expertly manage patient pain levels through specialized assessment and the administration of ordered interventions. Ensure all actions meet national benchmarks for perioperative and perianesthesia nursing care.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

Required Credential(s)

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

One or more of the following

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. ADVLIFSUP certification accepted in lieu of BLS

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. ASN or BSN preferred.

Work

Experience

Previous PACU experience preferred. Critical Care experience required.

Additional Preferences

1 years of PACU, ED, or ICU experience
