Job Summary

Shift: Nights Job Type: Per Diem

Holiday Rotation

Department: Emergency Room

Reporting to the Nursing Department Director, the Registered Nurse Shift Manager utilizes the nursing process and organizational/ leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift. Assures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Assesses staff need for the unit, collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patients needs are met. Supports Nursing Department Director on various administrative duties.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Two to five years acute experience or equivalent
  • RN skills as described for designated unit
  • Two years of emergency room experience
  • Managerial experience preferred
  • Current California RN license
  • PALS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • MICN Certification within one year

Emanuel Medical Center, part of the Central Valley Doctors Health System, is a 209-bed acute care hospital located in Turlock, California. Since 1917, Emanuel has been, and continues to be, dedicated to providing the best care possible for residents of Turlock and nearby communities. As the community's premier medical facility, we provide hospital services that include 24-hour emergency care, the only heart attack receiving center between Modesto and Fresno, an advanced center for mothers and newborns, and rehabilitation and therapy.

The Emanuel Cancer Center provides specialized cancer services that include diagnosis, treatment and support. From emergency services and heart care to orthopedics, advanced stroke treatment and more, were focused on providing advanced care combined with attentiveness and kindness. We offer convenient inpatient and outpatient locations.
