JOB
Summary
A Medical Technician (Med Tech) will play an essential role in delivering compassionate care to residents within a community-based care setting. This position involves providing direct care, administering medications, monitoring patient health, and supporting overall wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Fosters a supportive, compassionate environment for our residents and their families
- Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures and maintaining accurate medication records.
- Report changes in residents' conditions to appropriate team members.
- Assistance with Daily Living: Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare professionals to create and maintain individual care plans for each resident.
- Documentation: Accurately document all care, medications, and any observed changes in residents’ conditions in accordance with company policies.
- Emergency Response: Act promptly and calmly in emergencies, following established protocols to ensure resident safety.
- Family Communication: Communicate with residents' families regarding health status, medication changes, and overall care updates, fostering trust and transparency.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies regarding healthcare and safety standards.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care or community based care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Experience
Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care, or community-based care.
Skills
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
