*About the Practice*

Dr. Shippy is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and certified in Functional Medicine. Before becoming a physician, she worked as a chemical engineer, managing teams at IBM. Her own health journey inspired her to create the kind of root-cause, personalized care she once wished she had found herself.

Her practice provides comprehensive functional medicine care and assessments designed to help people get to the root cause and find true healing. She also offers IV therapy, injections, and other supportive procedures.

*About the Role*

This is a hybrid clinical and patient support role that blends hands-on nursing with patient communication, systems management, and administrative responsibilities. More than 50% of the role involves administrative and patient support tasks. Success in this role requires both strong clinical skills and a genuine appreciation for the organizational details that support exceptional patient care.

Working closely with Dr. Shippy, you will serve as a key clinical partner and an essential part of the patient experience.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with Dr. Shippy’s functional medicine philosophy
  • Administer IV therapies (including NAD+, Myers’ Cocktail, and others) and injections per provider orders
  • Support patient education and reinforce treatment plans
  • Manage daily IV therapy operations, scheduling, and supply ordering
  • Order labs and diagnostic testing and prescription medications and refills as needed
  • Handle occasional prior authorizations for radiology procedures and prescriptions
  • Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in the EMR
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries and serve as a liaison between patients and Dr. Shippy
  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure a seamless, high-quality patient experience

*What We’re Looking For - Required Qualifications*

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Experience with or strong interest in functional, integrative, or holistic medicine
  • Proficiency in administering IV infusion therapy and injections
  • Comfort with EMR systems and standard computer applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Proactive, resourceful, and responsive to feedback
  • Comfortable working in a gluten-free and fragrance-free office environment (due to patient and staff sensitivities)
