Responsibilities
The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator works in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) to improve the quality of trauma care encompassing all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in the manage and care of injured patients. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for coordination and facilitation of the multidisciplinary trauma performance improvement program including data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of date and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality, meeting Los Angeles County and American College of Surgeons standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate hospital policies and procedures, managing patient information and promoting teamwork and positive customer service.
Qualifications
Education, experience, training
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current TNCC certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Previous experience with Trauma Accreditation Process (ACS) preferred.
- Previous experience with Quality Improvement Process preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years trauma experience.
- Trauma registration certification within three (3) years of hire (CSTR or CAISS).
