About This Opportunity
- 0.8 FTE, Night Shift position (8 hour shifts)
- The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $50.78 – $79.78
- Additional Night
- Shift differential- $9.50/hour

As a Neurology Nurse, you will care for patients with a wide range of neurological diagnoses, including:
- Stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA)
- Seizure disorders and epilepsy
- Multiple sclerosis and neuromuscular diseases

- Traumatic brain injuries
- Neurodegenerative conditions
- Post-neurosurgical patients
You will work alongside experienced neurologists, hospitalists, rehabilitation specialists, therapists, and nursing professionals in a multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
What You Bring!
Education
Degree from an accredited School of Nursing Required
Experience
Minimum of one year RN experience required in an acute care facility or (for RN residents) successful completion of a training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
Acute Care And/or Neurology Experience Is Preferred.
Credentials
Required: State of Oregon Nursing license Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support

Medical/Surgical- Observation Unit & Neurology
National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) required within 6 months.
Working Conditions
Lifting
Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures. Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts). Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently. Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
Mental/Visual
Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
