About this role

The PRN Home Care Nurse is a practice-based Registered Nurse (RN) who directly supports Inspiritus' highest risk clients who are authorized to receive nursing services. In collaboration with other members of the clinical service team, the Home Care Nurse is responsible for completing in-person comprehensive assessments for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, completing documentation, conducting education and training, and clear communication.

The PRN Home Care Nurse will work closely with and report to the Nursing Services Coordinator. This position requires travel to service participants' homes and/or day programs.

Requirements

  • RN
  • Valid and current RN license or greater clinical license
  • Valid and current Georgia driver's license in good standing
  • Current auto insurance
  • 2 years' experience
  • 3-5 years working with individuals with I/DD preferred
  • Comprehensive nursing assessment experience, problem identification and care plan development
  • Screening for developmental issues, depression, and other psychological conditions
  • Current or able to obtain BLS/First Aid Certification
