As Nurse Manager of the Medical Unit, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight of nursing services, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. You will guide your team through evolving clinical standards, performance goals, and patient needs, all while cultivating a positive and respectful work culture. You will serve as a role model, mentor, and change agent committed to excellence in care delivery, staff development, and resource stewardship.

- Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Medical Unit
- Mentor, coach, and lead nursing staff to deliver high-quality care and achieve performance benchmarks
- Promote patient safety, satisfaction, and best practices in medical-surgical nursing
- Manage unit resources, staffing, scheduling, and budget oversight
- Foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory and policy compliance
- Serve as a key liaison between staff, physicians, leadership, patients, and families

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field – preferred
- Current Florida RN license – required
- ACLS and BLS certification – preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical or inpatient settings
- 3–5 years of leadership or charge nurse experience in a hospital environment – strongly preferred
