License Practical Nurse PRN Night Shift

As an LPN in our inpatient rehabilitation setting, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing team and ensuring patients receive high-quality care during their recovery journey. Your responsibilities will include:

Patient Care: Assisting registered nurses with patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration (under RN supervision), and basic care needs such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. Rehabilitation Support: Working alongside therapists to assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other rehabilitation activities as directed by the care plan. Patient

Education

Providing basic patient education on self-care practices and promoting a positive and supportive environment. Documentation and Reporting: Accurately documenting patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment under the direction of the RN. Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Assisting with maintaining a clean and organized patient care area and ensuring patient safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Licenses or Certifications

Current, unencumbered license to practice vocational nursing in the state where currently practicing. Current BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. Current ACLS certification via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross a plus.

Education, Training, and Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of professional vocational nursing. Strong clinical skills in basic patient care, medication administration (under RN supervision), and vital signs monitoring. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Understanding of rehabilitation principles and a passion for helping patients regain their independence.
