* *RN ICU* * *Yavapai Regional Medical Center - West* * *Prescott, AZ* * *3X12 - Nights* * *13 Weeks Contract* * *Pay: $2,400 - $2,445* *Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse to provide specialized critical care services across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive ICU experience, including Level I and Level II trauma centers, and demonstrate proficiency in managing complex patient needs. As a Travel ICU Nurse, you will deliver exceptional patient care, perform advanced assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes during short-term assignments in diverse locations. *Duties* * Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU, including those requiring ventilator support, cardiac catheterization, or trauma medicine interventions. * Monitor vital signs, conduct physical examinations, and perform advanced assessments utilizing physiology knowledge and medical terminology expertise. * Administer medications, IV infusions, and injections while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. * Manage airway support with ventilators, perform tube feeding procedures, and execute emergency interventions such as airway management and acute pain management. * Document patient care accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; ensure compliance with NCQA standards and ICD coding protocols. * Collaborate with physicians and specialists in infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health to develop tailored treatment plans. * Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, sonography, or medical imaging as needed. * Participate in discharge planning, case management, and health coaching to promote recovery and long-term wellness across inpatient and outpatient settings. *Qualifications* * Valid RN license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). * Extensive ICU experience, preferably within Level I or Level II trauma centers; critical care transport experience is a plus. * Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards. * Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for high-quality patient care. * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous; familiarity with geriatrics, memory care, or dementia care is desirable. * Ability to adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining excellent patient assessment skills and attention to detail. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced hospital medicine or emergency room settings.
