American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring at least two years of acute care experience and prior Pediatric OR experience.
Details
- Work in the Surgical Services department of a hospital setting
- Care for pediatric surgical patients in the operating room
- Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, working four 10-hour days per week including Fridays
- Requires taking call every 5th weekend from 7 AM to 7 PM Saturday and Sunday
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum two years of acute care RN experience required
- Prior experience working in a Pediatric OR required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Deliver safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care within the operating room
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments and develop, implement, and revise plans of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate patient and family education
- Supervise and mentor licensed and non-licensed staff members
- Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
