Surgery Center of Potomac is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Full-Time Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team!

We are a busy, AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center specializing in plastic and cosmetic surgery. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a professional, efficient, and team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is an experienced perioperative nurse who is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical setting, takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

• Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures.

• Assist with preoperative patient preparation, assessments, and documentation.

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.

• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure efficient case flow.

• Assist with room preparation, turnover, and maintaining surgical supplies and equipment.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation.

• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

• Assist in other perioperative areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact multistate license valid in Maryland.

• Prior operating room experience strongly preferred.

• Experience circulating surgical procedures preferred.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Strong understanding of sterile technique, surgical safety, and infection prevention.

• Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing surgical schedules.

• Dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork.

• Plastic surgery experience is a plus but not required.
