The Department of Human Services, Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services, North Central Secure Treatment Unit (NCSTU) provides dedicated, high-quality care to at-risk youth residents. This position supports resident health and medical needs through organized care, clear communication, and timely action. Duties include medication management, medical scheduling, record keeping, care coordination, health monitoring, and emergency support. Full-time employment with shift work in a 24/7 operation including day, evening and holiday rotation.

Requirements

  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • RN License
  • Temporary practice permit must obtain RN licensure within one year as defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
  • Graduate Nurse eligible if within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing
  • Proof of current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license at time of appointment
  • Corrections facility medical clinic
