• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*Pay:* $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on credential and experience

*About the practice*

Yacoub Signature Medicine is a new concierge internal medicine practice opening this fall in Westlake. It is led by Dr. Hayan Yacoub, a board-certified internist who spent more than a decade building one of the largest and most successful internal medicine practices in Austin and is now opening a smaller, membership-based practice built around time, access, and continuity.

The panel is deliberately limited. Visits are unhurried. Patients are known by name, and the standard of service is closer to a private club than a clinic. The team is small: the physician, a Practice Manager, and you. This is a ground-floor role in a brand-new practice.

*The role*

You are the clinical right hand to a single physician. You will room every patient, draw every lab, run every ECG, and be the clinical voice patients hear when they call. You will not be one of six MAs rotating through a pod. You will know every patient on the panel.

You will work at the top of your certification or license. If you are an LVN, your full scope will be used.

*What you will do*

• Room patients, take vitals, reconcile medications, and prepare the chart in the EMR
• Draw blood (venipuncture and fingerstick); label, process, and package specimens for the reference lab
• Perform 12-lead ECGs
• Give vaccines and injections under physician delegation
• Collect samples and run in-office CLIA-waived tests such as rapid strep, rapid flu, COVID, urinalysis, glucose, and A1c, and keep the testing and quality-control logs
• Check and document vaccine refrigerator temperatures daily and maintain proper vaccine storage and handling
• Return patient calls and portal messages on clinical matters as directed by the physician, in clear, warm, plain language
• Coordinate referrals, imaging, and specialist appointments and make sure the loop is closed
• Prepare prior authorization paperwork for medications and imaging
• Keep exam rooms stocked and clean; handle sharps, biohazard waste, and OSHA requirements; maintain equipment logs
• Order clinical supplies with the Practice Manager
• Help the Practice Manager with front desk duties as needed or when there is no clinical work

*What we require*

• *At least 5 years of hands-on clinical experience *as a medical assistant or LVN in a physician office or outpatient setting. LVN candidates need an active, unencumbered Texas license and at least 2 years of that experience in an outpatient or clinic setting.
• Current national MA certification (CCMA, RMA, or CMA) or Texas LVN license
• *Strong, current, hands-on phlebotomy.* This is a firm requirement. You should be confident with difficult draws, because there is no phlebotomy team to hand off to.
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with 12-lead ECGs, injections and vaccines, and in-office rapid testing
• Daily working proficiency in an electronic medical record. Elation Health experience is a plus, not a requirement.
• Clean, complete, timely documentation
• Polished, warm communication in person, on the phone, and in writing. Our members expect a level of service and discretion that is uncommon in medicine.
• Reliability. The team is small and the practice depends on you being here.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and assist patients with mobility
