American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stroke & Brain PCU position requiring NIHSS certification and telemetry/stroke patient care experience.
Details
- Stroke & Brain progressive care unit with 16 beds
- 4:1 patient ratio
- Tech support available on the unit
- Uses Welch Allyn VS machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady lift, telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, and Doppler equipment
- Meditech documentation system used
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 3 shifts per week with 3-4 weekend shifts required
- Floating required to any area where competency has been demonstrated
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry/PCU specialty
- Stroke patient care experience required
- Cardiac drips and telemetry experience required
- Basic dysrhythmia skills needed
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
