What You'll Do
As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population while serving as an essential member of the healthcare team.
Key responsibilities include
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Coordinate and direct nursing care based on established clinical practices and standards
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Advocate for patients while promoting safety, quality, and compassionate care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Coordinate care, communicate results, and support patients and families throughout their healthcare journey
Qualifications
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Red Cross BLS certification upon hire
Preferred
- One year of previous clinical nursing experience
