Responsibilities
General Purpose: Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

We are seeking a highly motivated registered nurse for the role of pulmonary procedure nurse, in our Adult Ambulatory Pulmonary Procedure Suite. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is a nationally recognized academic pulmonary division, caring for both inpatients and outpatients in need of these specialized procedures. Our interdisciplinary pulmonary team specializes in the care of pulmonary patients undergoing moderate sedation and general anesthesia interventional bronchoscopies.
This nurse’s role will entail 3 primary roles, between pre-procedure work up, intra-procedure management, and post-procedure recovery and discharge. RN license and BSN required. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are utilized each day with our patient care.
Competence in the delivery of nursing care modalities. Critical care experience in preferred but not required. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
