Atlas Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse — Pre/Post Op to provide high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory surgical setting. This role supports patients before and after procedures through assessment, monitoring, education, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the clinical team.

_*key responsibilities*_
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in an ambulatory surgical setting.
- Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, monitor recovery, and identify changes in patient condition.
- Confirm patient identity, procedure, surgical site, consents, and required pre-operative documentation.
- Establish IV access, administer medications, and assist anesthesia/providers as needed.
- Monitor patients for post-procedure concerns, including pain, nausea, vomiting, or anesthesia-related complications.
- Provide patient and family education, including discharge instructions.
- Complete required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, anesthesia providers, and the clinical team.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality at all times.

- Current New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification, or ability to obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire. Company-paid ACLS training will be provided, if needed.
- Nursing experience in pre-op, post-op, PACU, ambulatory surgery, acute care, ICU, ED, or a similar clinical setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical care environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.

- Previous ambulatory surgery, PACU, pre-op, or post-op nursing experience.
- Experience with neurosurgical, spine, interventional pain, interventional radiology, or procedural care.
- Experience with electronic medical records and surgical documentation.
_*schedule/ work hours*_
This is a full-time, in-person position at Atlas Surgery Center in Buffalo, NY. The role generally includes eight-hour day shifts, with start and end times varying based on the procedure schedule. Typical shifts may include 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., or 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No weekends, holidays, or overnight shifts are required. Flexibility may be needed based on patient care needs and the daily procedure schedule.

The expected compensation range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, qualifications, licensure/certification, skills, and internal equity.
This range represents Atlas Surgery Center’s good-faith estimate of the expected compensation for this position at the time of posting, in accordance with New York State pay transparency requirements.

This position is performed in an ambulatory surgical center setting. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, assisting with patient positioning and transfers, and following all safety, infection prevention, and clinical care standards.
