About this role
As our Emergency Services Nurse at our Ahwatukee Hospital Satellite Emergency Department, you will take a leadership role in assessing patient/family health problems and resources, and developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans. This position provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations across all ages, from young adults to geriatrics, within a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Every day you will triage patients, assess their condition, and administer medications and treatments, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, technicians, and support staff to ensure timely and critical interventions. You will meticulously monitor patient progress, educate patients and families on health management, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital protocols. Serving as a patient advocate, you will quickly adapt to changes in patient conditions (e.g., lab results, vitals), utilize the SBAR format for physician notification, and perform nurse-to-nurse reports, all while balancing patient needs with comfort.
