Registered Nurse (RN) - IDD Day Program

An established nonprofit organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support two day programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Brooklyn, New York. This role provides nursing oversight, staff guidance, and health monitoring in a non-clinical day program setting. About the Opportunity: Shift: Day shift Schedule: Monday-Friday Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Setting: Day Program / Non-Clinical / OPWDD Responsibilities: Provide nursing oversight for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities Maintain participant health documentation and records Communicate important health information to staff and families Train staff on OSHA requirements, first aid, and medication support Lead health and safety efforts within the programs Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Active New York State Registered Nurse license CPR certification Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills Ability to work independently Comfortable supervising staff and providing clinical guidance Desired Skills: Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities Experience within OPWDD programs Day habilitation experience Prior supervisory experience with LPNs and AMAPs
