Collects patient data based on diagnosis, age and/or developmental age. Analyzes data collected. Plans and prioritizes individualized care based on the assessment, utilizing nursing diagnosis, including teaching and discharge needs of the patient and family, and sets outcome goals in coordination with other disciplines. Ensures that the patient/family participates in the plan of care as able, and that plan of care addresses age-specific and cultural needs. Implements appropriate standards based on assessment. Prioritizes and organizes care within the allotted time frames. Coordinates discharge steps or ensures appropriate referral to address timely, appropriate discharge needs.

Active Registered Nurse: CA license in the State of California Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association
