Summary
Independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
Collaborate with physicians and other departments to achieve quality and safety goals. Triage clinical concerns and communicate status on labs and imaging back to physician. Demonstrate commitment to service with a passionate desire to improve the patient experience. Handle all aspects of inpatient hospital discharge: post-discharge follow-up appointments, medication prior authorizations and outpatient phone calls for any clinical concerns after discharge. Participate in daily huddles. Collaborate with nurse case managers on ECF placement. Pend orders in EMR for physician sign off.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. Must have current CPR certification. Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
