Role Description The Clinic Nurse / Triage Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Savannah, GA, responsible for providing clinical support and patient triage within the obstetrics and gynecology practice. Daily responsibilities include assessing patient concerns via phone or in person, prioritizing care needs, and providing evidence-based advice under established protocols and provider direction. The role involves obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, documenting encounters in the electronic health record, coordinating follow-up appointments, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and other team members to facilitate safe, timely care, including managing prescription refills, lab and imaging follow-up, and patient education on treatment plans. This position requires consistent adherence to clinical guidelines, infection control standards, and privacy regulations, while maintaining a calm, empathetic approach to patient interactions. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain), with clinical experience in women’s health, obstetrics, gynecology, primary care, or similar settings. Demonstrated triage and assessment skills, including the ability to evaluate symptoms, determine acuity, and follow evidence-based telephone and in-person triage protocols. Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation standards, and basic computer skills needed for scheduling, messaging, and managing test results. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear patient education, active listening, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Solid knowledge of routine clinical procedures such as vital sign collection, medication administration per practice policies, and support for office-based exams and minor procedures. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage a fast-paced clinic environment, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail under time pressure. Commitment to patient-centered care, maintaining confidentiality, and following all regulatory, safety, and infection-control guidelines. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in obstetric or women’s health nursing are beneficial.
