Job Description
Sign-on bonus $7,500
Full-Time Benefit Eligible
Shift: 36 Hours Weekly, Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every other weekend and observed holiday
General Summary
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

Unit Description
Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Inpatient Rehab department is a 36-bed unit specializing in the rehabilitation of trauma and stroke patients with varying degrees of medical complexities. Our nurses have an average patio ratio of 5:1, and the support of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, and Rehab Techs. We have the great privilege of caring for patients throughout their stay (typically 5-10 days) and witnessing varying degrees of remarkable healing as a result of our work. Come join our team!
