Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning. Rounding with unit leaders. On-call is required during select non-business hours.

Evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide patient and family education, assume responsibility for patient preparation, participate in surgical site verification, recognize and respond to patient emergencies, deliver high-quality patient-centered care, be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, apply the nursing process and critical thinking skills, assess patient condition and document changes, educate patients and families.
