Summary
Measures, analyzes, and facilitates improvement in clinical performance and outcomes.
Responsibilities
Identifies key clinical quality and patient safety measures. Promotes the use of appropriate measures for clinical services. Uses the results of quality improvement activities to initiate changes in patient care practices and in the healthcare delivery system.
Prioritizes and executes performance improvement plans related to clinical performance. Performs documentation and process analysis, identifies clinical best practices and works with stakeholders to improve processes. Assists with the development, piloting, use, and validation of data collection methodologies.
Serves as a resource for developing indicators for studies and projects. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
